Hotel Sant'Andrea, Island of Elba » Our location
Sant'Andrea lies on the northern coast of Elba, 30 km. far from Portoferraio, the main town and harbour of the island.
To reach our hotel you have to follow the provincial road from Portoferraio crossing the villages of Procchio and Marciana Marina.
At Marciana Marina take the road up, in the middle of beautiful chestnut woods, direction Marciana. After this village follow simply the magnificent panoramic road for a few kms. until the crossing for Sant'Andrea.
Take the road down to the sea, after 300 meters turn left in direction La Zanca. After approx. 50 meters you will find on the right side our hotel.

How to reach the island of Elba
Car ferries leave Piombino almost hourly for Portoferraio in the summer season. There are also daily ferries to Cavo and Rio Marina. The main shipping companies are Toremar, Blu Navy and Moby Lines).
The crossing Piombino-Portoferraio takes one hour. A hydrofoil service (no cars) takes 40 minutes.
By car:
From the North of Italy: from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to " Venturina/Isola d'Elba". Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio.
From the North -East: Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above.
Alternatively: take the S.G.C.(not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Scandicci and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway and exit at Rosignano, then dual carriageway as above down to Piombino.
From the South: Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road "the Aurelia": exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba then follow as above for Piombino.
By plane:
Milan, Pisa, Zurich, Friedrichshafen, Berne, München, Düssendorf, Hamburg, Wien are connected directly during the summer to the Elba airport.
Airport is 23 km far away from our hotel in locality La Pila.
By train:
The train station of Piombino Marittima is 50 meters far to the ferries departures.
