An Extraordinary route of great historical and environmental interest. The starting post is the Church of St. Caterina(Marciana) then up through the little village where you come across the Archeological Museum and the ancient Fortress. From here a semi paved path takes you up to Madonna del Monte: this path is also known as the Way of the Cross. At the top there is a hermitage where Napoleon spent some time of his exile, a small church opposite a splendid exedra, a semicircle granite structure and a fountain with fresh spring water. Pedling or walking on to Chiessi you find yourselves surrounded by an incredible vegetation and view.
